JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for coordinating facilities and site grounds projects and tasks including site preventive maintenance, facilities upkeep, design and construction, equipment selection and other process related tasks and projects.

RESPONSIBILITES :

  • Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion
  • Estimate time and extent of repairs
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance
  • Maintain material and supply inventory
  • Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Deadline and detail-oriented

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

  • On-call availability and periodic overtime.
  • Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels.
  • Ability to tolerate OSHA safe levels of solvents, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals with a minimum of discomfort, as is sometimes experienced in a laboratory and/or manufacturing environment.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

    • Sitting for extended periods of time.
    • Dexterity of hands and fingers (or skill with adaptive devices) to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computing equipment.
    • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
